Summary: Log opened at 0001 hours 1 July 1969. Unit locations: At LZ Ruth ZA168528; Battalion Headquarters Support (S-4 Forward); A Company at ZA103546; B Company at ZA153517; C Company at ZA982285; D Company at ZA168528; Recon CP at ZA147550; 4.2" mortar platoon located at LZ Ruth ZA168285; Headquarters and Headquarters Company Support (S-4 Forward) at LZ Oasis; At Base Camp (Camp Enari); Battalion Headquarters (Rear).

0800 hours (C) S3 to B Co: Move west out of Rocket box. Consolidate and receive resupply approximate grid ZA128513, move west after dark to Cordon and search village Plei Blo O Dung #3, ZA113515. Release Recon from OPCON at this time. CO and S# will visit your element at resupply location to deliver new overlays and plans for the next few days.

0950 hours (C) TOC S3 to Recon: Released from OPCON to B Co at this time. Move west out of Rocket box. Consolidate, receive resupply, and establish 2 Ops vicinity LZ Lilly at grids ZA115560, ZA120559. CO and/or S3 will visit at resupply location to deliver new overlays and plans for the next few days.

1005 hours (C) TOC to A Co: Continue to search area around village. Concentrate on lake to include some wading around in it. Receive resupply at present location and move to Plei Yang (1) ZA124529 for cordon after dark.

1100 hours (C) C Co to TOC: 1st platoon has replaced the 3d platoon at the Rock Quarry. C Co 3d platoon moving out of the CP south.

1505 hours (C) 2/35 to TOC: 2 Co's from 2/35 have closed LZ Ruth.

1510 hours (C) Bde OIC TOC to Bn S3: Submit one time report via secure on suitability of vest ammo M-79 project. Any additional comments and/or info on this item of equipment will be accepted. Report due NLT 021200H.

1520 hours (C) Bn S3 to Bde TOC: They are very good and carry sufficient ammo, sturdy and troops favor them.

1520 hours (C) Bn to Bde: Aircraft requirements for 2 July CA D Co. PZ LZ Ruth and LZ at ZA076522. 5 birds for the lift, 2 guns for initial insertion, time 1330H on 2 July. Number of troops, 115. 1 LOH 1230H for 3 hours.

1555 hours (C) TOC to Pleiku Dust-Off: Request one urgent litter Dust-Off for a scout dog (scout dog was shot).

2041 hours (C) A Co to TOC: In sweeping towards village we found the following: LZ 106537, 1 bird; LZ 107536. 2 bird; at 110534, 1 APC shelled and ambushed after hitting 1 mine approximately 4 to 5 months ago in the middle of a trail, 3 steel helmets, 5 rucksack frames, 108538 a 5 ton truck which hit a mine on a tank trail.
