Unit locations: At LZ Oasis grid ZA114275; Battalion Headquarters (Forward), A Company at grid ZA180354; B Company CP at ZA175345; C Company CP at ZA189349; D Company CP at grid ZA195355; Recon Company at grid ZA189359; 4.2 mortar platoon at LZ Oasis; Headquarters and Headquarters Company Support (S-4 Forward) at LZ Oasis; At Base Camp (Camp Enari); Battalion Headquarters (Rear).
No significant activities occurred in the area of operation during this period.
0545 hours (C) D Co reports they fired 1 (one) illumination round from light organics on a suspected enemy movement. They had negative sightings and movement ceased.
0740 hours (C) From S-3 to CO: 1. Conduct a search operation in search area assigned yesterday and do not go closer that 500 meters to the cultivated area. 2. Do not search any homes or occupied building without specified approval. Further instructions will follow.
0745 hours (C) From S-3 to Recon: Recon has received their mission for today. It was to go back to where they crossed the river and check 1 kilometer each way for caches.
0925 hours (C) Bde S-2 to TOC S-2: Intelligence Report: Unidentified object was fired at a radius of 2000 meters located ZA046373 23 Apr early morning.
0935 hours (C) B Co 521 element found a Law and requested to blow it and received permission. Location of find was 300 meters from 512-element night location. It was blown at 0940 hours.
1130 hours (C) D Co and Recon to TOC: D Co reports negative findings in area of mortars and recon says negative findings in area of movement.
1320 hours (C) From 59 to A Co: Do you have a secure LZ? Ans.: Yes. We have one platoon (minute 30 man) with an officer PH standing by in it at this time for a mission.
1545 hours (C) S-3 to A Co: Have 1st platoon combat assault to artillery hill for security.
