Summary: Log opened at 0001 hours 19 May 1969. Unit locations: At LZ Oasis grid ZA117277; Battalion Headquarters (Forward), 1/35th Command Post is at LZ Oasis ZA117277; A Company at YA982285; B Company at ZA139265; C Company at ZA067239; D Company at ZA016244; Recon platoon at ZA102245; Headquarters and Headquarters Company Support (S-4 Forward) at LZ Oasis; At Base Camp (Camp Enari); Battalion Headquarters (Rear).

At 0330 hours on 19 May 69 Bunker 5 reports that Thanh An (ARVN) is receiving incoming mortars and small arms fire.

0721 hours (U) DELAYED ENTRY - ON 19 May 69 at 0710 hours D Co 1st plt found 14 bunkers at location ZA024258, could hold 1 to 4 individuals, freshly built, recently used within 24 hours and they had negative findings in them.

0730 hours (C) TOC to Recon plt leader: Continue the present mission and general disposition. Sweep the area where recoilless weapon fire was suspected to have come from. Ambush in that area tonight and have the number of frag positions last night.

0740 hours (C) TOC to C Co: Continue your present mission and operation. Max effort on bunker construction at Rock Quarry. Obtain intelligence information from village and PF about the village, people and local condition. Coordinate with Dap Enang for reference to positioning your weapons platoon at that location for cross training.

0745 hours (C) TOC to B Co: Today's plan is approved. Assume a similar night position as last night. For tonight, stress malaria control through command channel.

0748 hours (U) DELAYED ENTRY - ON 19 May 69 at 0720 hours TOC ordered to D Co: Sweep the area of suspected rocket firing point. Prepare to ambush the same area tonight. Move your element in position to block along the Ia Blet River (015261). Position SRP's and ambushes in order of likely enemy movement and likely rocket launch position.

0800 hours (C) TOC to C Co: Continue the present mission using SRP's, ambushes, daylight patrols to prevent enemy movement from entering and leaving Oasis area. Leave the 16 element in the same general location. Near the road have 1 more CP and 1 or another element to the high ground north of your CP location (065247) to watch for movement and rocket flash. Continue to keep surveillance of Ia Puch River.

2000 hours (C) From D Co to TOC: 80 element found a tunnel in a ravine at ZA021264. It had bamboo tubes with wooden bases, which were inside. 2 to 3 feet long, 5 feet diameter.
