At 0946 hours A Co at LZ Vera requests Dust-Off for 1EM who was hit in the back with shrapnel by an 81mm Mortar round, they were firing for movement that SRP team 2 had last night. They were firing 75 meters away from the element and they had a short round that landed about 50 meters from the SRP team and hit this one EM, line no. 2 of attachments. At 2155 hours (C) From Bde: Intelligence received from G-2 tank headquarters indicates that an attack could possibly be received tonight across the border against Duc Co, Plei Grang. The 3rd Bde will maintain a minimum of 75% alert. This entire message was sent to all elements plus 80% alert.
