Summary: At 1605 hours a message was put out by the Battalion Commander to all Company Commanders. A report will be submitted to this headquarters prior to 1900 hours 6 October 1968, stating that all personnel in each company has been briefed on the Brigade policy letter and SRP Checklist. Also the number of personnel out on SRP missions, their line numbers and the dates that they are due back in. At 1913 hours all Companies reported that all personnel had been briefed on the policy letter and the Checklist. The only persons not briefed were the individuals who are out on the SRP line at this time. The amount of personnel briefed in each company is as follows: A Co has briefed all its personnel. B Co has briefed 25 of its personnel. C Co and D Co have each briefed 24 out of its total personnel. At 2140 hours the Battalion Commander LTC Buckner informed the Brigade Commanders Colonel McClellan that all personnel had received the briefing on the policy letter and the SRP Checklist with the exception of 73 people. At 2140 hours the Brigade Commander Colonel McClellan informed the Battalion Commander LTC Buckner that the 1/35 Infantry mess hall is in first place in the Brigade and 5th in the Division Mess standings.
