2310 hours (C) Message from Bde to TOC: This is a Chou Hoi read out collected at 0800 hours 22 September 1968. It is important to the 1/35 people and the people at Plei Mrong. It reports that an NVA regiment has a mission to ambush Highway 14 at coordinates ZA 235670, to north 231795. Also from Hoi Chanh a NCO from the 5th Bn 24th Regiment. He also stated that the 4th Bn had only 60 survivors from the Binh Tay operations. The 5th Bn has also lost 150 people. The 6th Bn west of Highway 14 has the mission of ambushing the re-supply lines.
