On June 18, 1970 the 2/35th established FSB Welch (coordinates BR494879). After Action Reports describe the A/O approximate location as 38 Km N of Camp Radcliff. The first unit to secure the FSB was A Co. FSB Welch remained in use until July 14, 1970.
