1640 hours (C) From Recon to TOC: 97 element on sweep found a spring type booby trap at ZA042323, piece of bamboo bent around a tree, when tripped it strikes waist-high, estimate to be 9-12 months old.
1951 hours (U) DELAYED ENTRY - On 5 June 69 at 1940 hours from B Co CO to Bn CO: 1. I bring the following to your attention. Because in the near future it will become critical. I have lost my 1st Sgt. due to medical reasons for an indefinite time - and my XO will DEROS on 17 June - I can't fill the vacancy from my field strength. 2. I have 3 individuals who have been awarded the following: Bronze Star with V Device, Army Commendation, Purple Heart. Could you make these presentations at my location at 1600 hours 6 June? I have the orders, however, I do not have the medals.
