Summary: Log opened at 0001 hours 10 May 1969. Unit locations: At LZ Oasis grid ZA117277; Battalion Headquarters (Forward), 1/35th Command post is at LZ Oasis ZA117277; A Company at YA982285; B Company is OPCON to the 2/1st Cav; C Company at ZA105419; D Company at ZA048383; Recon platoon at ZA082231; 4.2 mortar platoon YA982285; Headquarters and Headquarters Company Support (S-4 Forward) at LZ Oasis; At Base Camp (Camp Enari); Battalion Headquarters (Rear).

At 1550 hours on 10 May 69 C Co W/P found a weapons cache and with no details at this time. At ZA064406 they found 2 60mm mortar rounds, 1 B-40 head and a new perimeter but did not have time to search or check the size. At 1900 hours on 10 May 69 the Bde Aviation officer at YA985355 received 5 rounds of ground to air and small arms fire at his LOH. There were no hits, no casualties. The pilot saw fresh diggings and fortifications of logs in the same vicinity.

1406 hours (C) S3 informed D Co CO to be on alert to be extracted from the present location of ZA045383 to YA9705 in order to reinforce the 1/10 Cav who are in contact with a Co (-) of NVA.

1505 hours (C) S3 informed C Co CO to find a LZ and be prepared to be extracted to reinforce the 1/10 Cav.

1527 hours (C) D Co leaving our push now and is OPCON to 1/10 Cav.

1542 hours (C) C Co will be ready for pick up at 1600 hours.

1585 hours (C) Recon To TOC: They informed us that the little people at 115235 are receiving 50mm mortar fire and request gunships. The push for ARVN is 43.60 and the call sign is 72-A. ETA of Gambler guns is 1600 hours.

1620 hours (C) From S3 to C Co: You are on a 10-minute alert but you are not going as yet.

1630 hours (C) From S3 Bde to C Co: You are now going along with the jump CP. A Co is on standby.

1740 hours (C) D Co combat assault is complete at this time - 956090.

1915 hours (C) C Co to TOC: (16 ele)- Dust-Off is on station from man with broken hand at ZA075425 priority. Dust-Off 36 is on station at 1920 hours and is complete at 1925 hours.

2220 hours (C) C Co to TOC: They report hearing light organics impacting 800 to 1200 meters to west.
