Summary: Log opened at 0001 hours 30 April 1969. Unit locations: At LZ Oasis grid ZA117277; Battalion Headquarters (Forward), A Company (-) at ZA117277; B Company (-) at ZA074377; C Company (-) at ZA103339; D Company at ZA109414; Recon platoon at ZA116212; 4.2 mortar platoon at LZ Oasis; Headquarters and Headquarters Company Support (S-4 Forward) at LZ Oasis; At Base Camp (Camp Enari); Battalion Headquarters (Rear).

At 0757 hours on 30 Apr 69 C Company 53rd element was conduction a search and found a hooch and black pajama outfit. They are continuing to search the area.

0002 hours (C) From LT Clark S-3 Operations to Bn S3: The operation has been cancelled, however, the airlifts for the 2 Co's will take place. The moves will take place except for A Co and it will be placed conveniently for further movement. The Thanh An Operation to the west has been cancelled. Tomorrow morning at 1000 hours the CO of the 1/35th, CO of 1/14th and Colonel Patterson will attend meetings at G-3 concerning the new operation. C battery 2/9th move is cancelled.

0728 hours (C) C Co 53 and 54 see smoke and hear small arms fire 1 click south.

1226 hours (C) C Co hears small arms 1 click west of the location ZA100315. We sent it to Bde and asked them to send it to Thanh An and they said they were doing it.

1543 hours (C) D Co reports PZ is complete.

1548 hours (C) D Co reports LZ is complete.

1550 hours (C) B Co reports the 1st PZ.

1557 hours (C) B Co reports 1st PZ is cold.

1655 hours (C) B Co reports the LZ is complete.

1745 hours (C) From S-3 to all elements: Intelligence information reports that a Sapper Bn is 4 kilometers to the west of the unit locations. All units will have overhead cover except the Bushmasters and they will be dug in.

1748 hours (C) From S-3 to B Co: You will have a platoon on a 15 minute alert and be prepared to move to ZA085311 also be picked up to reinforce the Oasis or Thanh District.

1825 hours (C) From B Co to TOC: We request a Dust-Off for 1 EM who cut his right knee with a machete. He is ambulatory. Pick up location is ZA088313 and is secure. Dust-Off will come on the Air to ground frequency (44.35) and contact 42C.

1910 hours (C) Pleiku Dust-Off said that they would not come tonight as the weather was bad between Pleiku and B Co's location.

1940 hours (C) From S-3 to all elements CO's: 1. Execution of Bn operation has been delayed 24 hours. 2. Truck move and CA's will occur on 02 May. 3. Be prepared to reposition companies tomorrow so that they will be in close proximity to Highway 19. 4. Be prepared to receive the resupply on 01 May to last through the evening meal of 04 May. 5. Further instructions will follow as guidance is received.

2156 hours (C) From Bde S-2 to Bn S-2: Subject: Probable Attack By Fire. Usually reliable intelligence indicates probable enemy attack by fire in the Pleiku City area and vicinity on the night of 30 Apr and the morning of 1 May
