Unit locations: At LZ Lanetta YA854458, Battalion Headquarters (Forward), A Company 1/35, E (-) Company, C Battery 2/9 artillery, 3rd platoon D Company 4th Engineers Battalion, counter mortar section 2/9 artillery; At LZ Marietta YA763491; B Company, 1 CSF platoon from the new Special Forces Camp at Plei Djerang; At LZ Betty YA905505; C Company, OPCON Units: D Company OPCON 2/1 Cav; At LZ Oasis; Headquarters and Headquarters Company Support (S-4 Forward); At Base Camp (Camp Enari); Battalion Headquarters (Rear).

No signification activities occurred in the area of operations.

2028 hours From Bde OIC to the Bn S-3: Plan to run Eagle flights tomorrow using platoon size element vicinity LZ Helga YA965497, LZ Phyllis YA975499, LZ Ruby YA995463, LZ Cathy ZA048489 and around the area north-northwest of LZ Marietta grid YA880600, in addition we will have one company stand by as a reactionary force for D Co 1/35 operating north of LZ Marietta, if ARP's are inserted and they are in trouble we will follow, must provide a reactionary force for the 1/10 Cav and the Eagle flight platoon.

2130 hours (C) To B Co from S-3: You will be on a standby mission tomorrow as a reactionary force for 1/10 Cav, possible area of employment north of LZ Marietta across the river. Maps of LZ Marietta will be sufficient, 1 platoon will be ready to lift out on a 15-minute notice, rest of the element (-) SRP's will be on a 45-minute standby.

2150 hours To C Co from the S-3: Your company will be prepared for a reactionary force mission with one platoon ready to lift on a 30-minute notice. The rest of the element (-) SRP's to follow in 45 minutes, the area of employment will be east of LZ Betty and there will be an element on the ground in the area of employment.

2156 hours (C) To Recon from S-3: Will be employed on the Eagle flight mission tomorrow, be ready to lift out at 0730 hours mission: Recon LZ's mentioned in the previous message (reference Journals entry 45) will report the following; any enemy activity, reconstruction of bunkers, supply caches, any US ammunition or quantities of rations. Be prepared to search the LZ in one hour and then be extracted.
