1615 hours (C) B Co CO Captain Tower reports that his 91 element went down to check out the 60mm ammunition cache that the engineers found this morning by cutting trees at grid 836248, found 14 rounds of 60mm Mortars, 5 rounds of 81mm Mortar. Major Royal says that the Engineers will go down first thing to blow them.

2100 hours (C) Message to Bde S-3 from the Bn S-3: Request permission to C/A a recon platoon to Hill 391 on 24 November 1968, will need 4 lift ships and 1 C&C bird. The element will C/A in to check the hill out and they will return on foot the same way. The Bde S-3 will pass this to Bde CO Colonel McClellan and give the answer tomorrow, stated that we will supply one Company for the three day operation with the 1/14 Inf from 21-24 Nov. '68 and to keep in mind. The Bn S-3 Major Royal passed this info along to LTC Buckner Bn CO.
