2124 hours (C) Bde 53X to Bn S-3: To C Co 1 Plt on a 15-minute C/A standby, the rest of C Co will be on a 30-minute standby. Standby will start at 0730 hours 18 November 1968; the rest of the battalion will be on a 4-hour standby. Mission: reaction force for the 7/17 Cav, 7/17 Cav will insert blue legs at grid YA789106, if the situation develops we will insert ourselves, our plt will go in, Bde recommends using the company located at LZ Jean. Informed Bde that C Co is at LZ Jean, will furnish the elements. Major Royal informed LTC Buckner Bn CO of this, also informed C Co Captain Smith and D Co RTO.
