No significant action occurred in our area of operation. Routine and miscellaneous procedures were handled by our staff. At 1021 hours message from W-27 to Bn CO LTC Buckner: Colonel Knight is the new CO of 1st Bde. He will visit the Oasis on 21 October 1968 in the afternoon. From the Oasis he will visit LZ Joan. Be prepared to give him a briefing. Have informed the Bn CO LTC Buckner of this. At 2015 hours A Co will be awarded awards on 22 October 1968 at Duc Co.
