The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SSG Herbert H. Schwartz, 13058440, who died in the service of his country on May 23rd, 1945 in Luzon. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Herbert was 25 years of age. He was from Pennsylvania.

SSG Schwartz was a graduate of Shaler High School near Pittsburg. At the time of enlistment, February 25, 1942, he was employed by Hubbard & Company. A member of the First Congregational Church of Elna, he is survived by his father George J Schwartz; two brothers, George and Howard Schwartz; and sisters Edna and Mildred.
