The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PVT Kenneth R. Porter, 13037070, who died in the service of his country on January 15th, 1943 in Guadacanal. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Kenneth was 18 years of age. He was from West Virginia.

The decorations earned by PVT Kenneth R. Porter include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.
