The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SGT John Antwine Pepper, 18109337, who died in the service of his country on February 4th, 1945 in Luzon. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death John was 23 years of age. He was from Harrison County, Texas.

The decorations earned by SGT John Antwine Pepper include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.

SGT Pepper was born in Louisiana and was a dairy farmer in Texas. He enlisted at Tyler Texas on July 29th, 1942. He was married at that time.

He is buried in Algoma Cemetery South, Marshall Texas.
