The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PVT Harry Pierce McAninch, 18079485, who died in the service of his country on January 14th, 1943 in Guadalcanal. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Harry was 19 years of age. He was from Dallas, Texas.

Harry and his mother and brother lived with his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Bettie Wright, in both the 1930 and 1940 censuses.
Harry was graduated from Highland Park High School. He was a member of the Order of DeMolay and of the First Presbyterian Church of Dallas. He joined the army shortly after graduation from high school in January 1942. He served in Hawaii almost a year before he was killed in action on Guadalcanal. He served with the 35th Infantry Division. His serial number was ASN 18079485.
