The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SSG Martin Jerome Couchot, 35131701, who died in the service of his country on May 23rd, 1945 in Luzon, The Philippines. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Martin was 25 years of age. He was from Piqua, Ohio.

The decorations earned by SSG Martin Jerome Couchot include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.


Martin worked for Kilgore Manufacturing prior to entering the service on 18 October 1941.
