The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Garnett Thomas Burton, 35465166, who died in the service of his country on May 12th, 1945 in Luzon, The Philippines. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Garnett was 24 years of age. He was from Salvisa, Kentucky.

The decorations earned by PFC Garnett Thomas Burton include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.

Garnett was living in Indianapolis, IN when he entered the service on 12 August 1942. He was working for the Indianapolis Casket Company.
