The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SGT Arthur Eugene Peek, who died in the service of his country on October 24th, 1945 in Enroute to Japan. The cause of death was listed as Pneumonia. At the time of his death Arthur was 26 years of age. He was from Glasgow, Illinois.

The decorations earned by SGT Arthur Eugene Peek include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.


The 35th was transferred from the Phillipines to Japan for occupational duty on 19 September 1945. It has been recorded that Arthur Peek died from pneumonia during this trip.
