The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, CPL Woodrow W. Willis, who died in the service of his country on December 29th, 1942 in Guadalcanal. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Woodrow was 23 years of age. He was from Fayette County, Pennsylvania.

The decorations earned by CPL Woodrow W. Willis include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.
