The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Rudolf Zutrauen, who died in the service of his country on February 4th, 1945 in Luzon. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Rudolf was 37 years of age. He was from Syracuse, New York.

The decorations earned by PFC Rudolf Zutrauen include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.

Rudolph enlisted at age 34. He was not yet a citizen, but a native of Danzig Germany.
