The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Henry Casper Serembo, who died in the service of his country on April 27th, 1945 in Luzon. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Henry was 26 years of age. He was from Adamsburg, Pennsylvania.

The decorations earned by PFC Henry Casper Serembo include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.


Henry enlisted 25 February 1942.

I was too young to remember you when you were killed. You were the twin brother to my Stepfather William and an Uncle to me and my half sister who was born many years after you died in battle. May you rest in peace Uncle Henry. Thank you for your service. The Purple Heart you earned was costly to your family.
