The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, 1LT Phil Chinn Patterson, who died in the service of his country on June 30th, 1944 in New Caledonia. The cause of death was listed as Accidental Self-Destruction. At the time of his death Phil was 28 years of age. He was from Manatee County, Florida.

The decorations earned by 1LT Phil Chinn Patterson include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.

Phil was from Bradeton, FL and graduated from Bradeton HS where he participated in football. His mother was Mrs. A.S. Patterson and he had a brother George who was with the Army in England at the time of Phils death.
