The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PVT Dale E. Nichols, who died in the service of his country on May 7th, 1945 in Luzon. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Dale was 18 years of age. He was from Parma, Idaho.

The decorations earned by PVT Dale E. Nichols include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.

Dale was a gentle, caring farm boy. Originally from Parma, Idaho he worked on his father and grandfathers farms. At time of enlistment, he was living in Donnelly, Idaho working for his uncle Dan Nichols.
