The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PV2 James Willard White, RA14269834, who died in the service of his country on July 29th, 1950 in South Korea. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death James was 20 years of age. He was from Kingsport, Tennessee. James' Military Occupation Specialty was 4745-Light Weapons Infantryman.
  The decorations earned by PV2 James Willard White include:  the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Korea Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of God in Jesus' Name on Long Island. 
 
The Rev. Thomas R. Benton, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, with military rites there by Hammond Post No. 3, American Legion. The body accompanied by military  
 
escort, is to arrive in Bristol at 10 a.m. Monday. It will be removed by Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home  
 
to the residence of the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar D. White, 1706 Park Drive, Long Island, Monday  
 
afternoon.  
 
Pfc. White was a graduate of Sullivan High School, and had been in the service 34 months prior to  
 
his death. He was a member of the 35th Infantry. Surviving, in addition to his parents are two  
 
brothers, Sonny and Franklin White; five sisters, Mrs. Howard L. Smith, Misses Patty, Linda, Sherry  
 
and Deborah White and his maternal grandfather, Jeff Adams all of Kingsport. (Kingsport
