The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PV2 Walter Stanley Ingalls, RA19350567, who died in the service of his country on April 25th, 1951 in South Korea. The cause of death was listed as MIA to KIA. At the time of his death Walter was 18 years of age. He was from Fergus County, Montana. Walter's Military Occupation Specialty was 4745-Light Weapons Infantryman.

Private First Class Ingalls was a member of the 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in South Korea on July 28, 1950 and returned to duty on September 12, 1950. He was seriously wounded again in North Korea on December 2, 1950 and returned on February 1, 1951. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on April 25, 1951. Private First Class Ingalls was awarded the Purple Heart with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
