The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PV2 John "Jack" William Christensen, RA28715040, who died in the service of his country on August 5th, 1950 in South Korea. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death John "Jack" was 22 years of age. He was from Sidney, Montana. John "Jack"'s Military Occupation Specialty was 4745-Light Weapons Infantryman.

Jack Christensen was one of my friends and classmates in Sidney High School, in Sidney Montana where we started as freshmen in 1941. He wasnt a very big guy but was powerful for his size. He was always surrounded by friends and had the attitude that life should always be fun. Posthumous Honor To Be Accorded Montana Soldier Fort Lewis, Wash , Jan. 26 (AP)Relatives of six soldiers who died heroically will receive posthumous medals Saturday at Fort Lewis in one of the largest award ceremonies in the posts history. A silver star will go posthumously to PFC Jack W. Christensen. It will be accepted by his mother Mrs. Mary Christensen of Sidney, Mont. Christensen died in Korea.
