The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Cletis Earl Scott, US55055352, who died in the service of his country on April 25th, 1951 in South Korea. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Cletis was 23 years of age. He was from Iconium, Missouri. Cletis' Military Occupation Specialty was 4745-Light Weapons Infantryman.

The decorations earned by PFC Cletis Earl Scott include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Korea Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.


PFC CLETIS E SCOTT in 1949, took his Basic Training with the Fourth Platoon, "A" Compamy, 35th Armored Infantry Battalion, 3rd Armored Division, Combat Command "B", Fort Knox, Kentucky. I, SGT Andrew J. Lynch, was also a member of the Fourth Platoon and our Platoon Sgt was SFC "Spitt'n" Joe Stuczka. Other members were: PVT HOWARD BURKHART, KIA 9/9/50: PFC CLETIS E SCOTT, 35th Inf Rgt, 25th Inf Div, KIA 4/25/51; PVT RICHARD N STIRR, 3RD Eng Bn (C) 24th Inf Div, KIA 7/16/50; PFC REX E WAGNER, 8 Cav Rgt (Inf) 1 Cav Div, Died while MIA 11/2/50; PVT J W WHITE, 31 Art Bn (155MM) 7 Div, DOW 10/13/51; CPL CLAUDE M WILLIAMS, 31st Inf Rgt,7 Inf Div, DOW 11/4/51; PVT JAMES R WILSON, 8th Cav Rgt (Inf) 1 Cav Div, Died while MIA 11/2/50.
