Ken was in basic training and Leadship school with me. We went to Korea on the USS Breckenridge. When we arrived in Japan, Ken went into to the 35th and I went into the 3rd. In basic training Ken was in the next bunk to me, so as time went on in basic training you talk alot about your family and friends. One close friend of his was Red Skelton. He gave Ken a watch when he was drafted. All of the guys in the platoon liked Ken. I meant Ken in basic traing at Ft Ord. He and his father had a plumbing business in Beverly Hills, CA. They were a close knit family. He was a pointman. My mother went to his funeral and when I got home I went up a couple times to see his mother. ONE swell guy! (Bob Proctor)
