The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Hiram Eugene Gilroy, US52081994, who died in the service of his country on April 9th, 1952 in Sanjon, North Korea. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Hiram was 22 years of age. He was from Waynesfield, Ohio. Hiram's Military Occupation Specialty was 4745-Light Weapons Infantryman.

I was with Hiram on the 9th of Apr. We were on an outpost that nite. Hit by the N Koreans we all scattered, I was wounded. Went to Army hospital in Tokyo. It was much later when I heard what happened that nite. We were good friends. Was very sorry to hear that he was KIA. (Carl Wallauch)
