The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Eddie was 22 years of age. He was from Gaines County, Texas. Eddie's Military Occupation Specialty was 1745-Light Weapons Infantry Leader.

Eddie Lee was called "Dude" by family members. I am his great niece,also in the process of writing a memoir of my family history. My mother was very close to Uncle Dude. He was a baker and a cook at the Sweet Shop in Seagraves, Texas before he enlisted. He also taught my mother how to bake her first cake. (Yvonne Wood)
