The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Jackson Bruce, RA06562216, who died in the service of his country on September 27th, 1950 in South Korea. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Jackson was 29 years of age. He was from San Francisco, California. Jackson's Military Occupation Specialty was 4745-Light Weapons Infantryman.
The decorations earned by PFC Jackson Bruce include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Korea Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
Jackson also served his Country in WWII and is buried in the San Francisco National Cemetery. He served with the 31st Infantry (Philippine Division) and was a POW of the Japanese at Pine Tree Camp, Kyushu Island.
