The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, CPL James Roscoe Priester, RA14276237, who died in the service of his country on September 1st, 1950 in South Korea. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death James was 24 years of age. He was from Hampton, South Carolina. James' Military Occupation Specialty was 4745-Light Weapons Infantryman.
The decorations earned by CPL James Roscoe Priester include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Korea Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

Double funeral services will be conducted in the Harrison cemetery at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon for Corporal James R Priester and his brother Woodrow Priester by Elder Newton Terry. Military services will be held by Battery D of the South Carolina National Guard of Hampton.
Corporal James R Priester was killed in Korea on September 1, 1950.Woodrow Priester, age 21, husband of Agnes Altman Priester of near Hampton, died suddenly Tuesday night.
Survivors include one brother Edward Priester of Clinton, and one sister, Evelyn Proveaux of Bamberg.
