The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SP4 Clyde Marvin Lee, who died in the service of his country on December 4th, 1967 in Kontum Province, Vietnam. The cause of death was listed as Helicopter Crash (with 4th Aviation). At the time of his death Clyde was 20 years of age. He was from Claremont, Minnesota. Clyde is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Panel 31E, Line 36.

The decorations earned by SP4 Clyde Marvin Lee include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Air Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation.

Clyde is buried in Blooming Prairie Cemetery in Blooming Prairie, MN.

FOR DISTINGUISHING HIMSELF BT MERITORIOUS ACHIEVEMENT WHILE PARTICIPATING IN SUSTAINED AERIAL FLIGHT IN SUPPORT OF COMBAT FROUND FORCES OF THE REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM DURING THE PERIOD 23 NOVEMBER 1967 TO 4 DECEMBER 1967. DURING THIS TIME HE ACTIVELY PARTICIPATED IN MORE THAN TWENTY-FIVE AERIAL MISSIONS OVER HOSTILE TERRITORY IN SUPPORT OF COUNTERINSURGENCY OPERATIONS. DURING ALL THESE MISSIONS HE DISPLAYED THE HIGHEST ORDER OF AIR DISCLIPINE AND ACTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BEST TRADITIONS OF THE SERVICE. BY HIS DETERMINATION TO ACCOMPLSIH HIS MISSIONIN SPITE OF THE HAZARDS INHERENT IN REPEATED AERIAL FLIGHTS OVER HOSTILE TERRITORY AND BY HIS OUTSTANDING DEGREE OF PROFESSIONLISM AND DEVOTION TO DUTY, HE HAS BROUGHT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF, HIS UNIT, AND THE MILITARY SERVICE.
