The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, 1LT Milton Osmun. Wolfe, who died in the service of his country on May 1st, 1945 in Luzon. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Milton was 28 years of age. He was from Haddon Heights, New Jersey.

The decorations earned by 1LT Milton Osmun. Wolfe include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.


FIRST LIEUTENANT MILTON O. WOLFE of Haddon Heights NJ was born in 1916, one of at least seven children born to Merritt and Alletta Wolfe. The family resided on 34 Tenth Avenue. Milton Wolfe had graduated high school and had attended one year of college prior to being drafted, on July 8, 1942 at Camden NJ. He was single, with dependents, when inducted.

After induction, Milton Wolfe qualified for Officer Candidate School, and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant, and was later promoted to First Lieutenant.
