Burial:Fort Lawton Cemetery, Seattle, King County, Washington, USA
Plot: Sec. 2, #171

Sgt. Bill Calfee was killed by enemy fire while leading a night patrol around the front of Outpost Dagmar. His patrol encountered a large communist force on the way to attack the outpost. Bill was a good friend. He died on Independence Day, just three weeks before the cease fire. By a strange twist of fate, I missed leading the patrol that Bill took out that night. Bill Calfee--never forgotten by his comrades in the 3RD platoon of Item Company of the 35th Infantry Regiment, 25TH Infantry Division. (Don Bills)
