The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SFC Rollyn E. Palm, NG27342645, who died in the service of his country on October 6th, 1951 in Kumgong-Ni, North Korea. The cause of death was listed as MIA to KIA. At the time of his death Rollyn was 21 years of age. He was from Stillwater, Minnesota. Rollyn's Military Occupation Specialty was 1745-Light Weapons Infantry Leader.

He was Killed in Action while attacking the enemy on a hill near Kumgong-ni, North Korea by an enemy mortar fragment on October 6, 1951. Sergeant First Class Palm was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
