The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PV2 Tony Soto, US56141134, who died in the service of his country on October 26th, 1951 in North Korea. The cause of death was listed as MIA to KIA. At the time of his death Tony was 25 years of age. He was from Santa Paula, California. Tony's Military Occupation Specialty was 4745-Light Weapons Infantryman.

My name is Tony Soto Jr., I was born two days after my father was kia, on 10-26-51. All i have seen is letters he wrote to his mother and sisters and a few pictures. After over 40 years of trying to locate my family a Mr. Kevin Wolff was able to locate my uncle Alfred Soto. Mr. Wolff said he was a friend and was there with him in Korea. Tony and I were in Co. L 1st. plt. 35th Regt., 25th Div. , We had developed a close friendship during our several months together in the area of the Iron triangle. On 25th of October our company joined in the fighting to secure and hold snipers ridge in the vicinity of Osong-san North Korea. On the night of the 25th our positions were shelled and during this shelling a round landed near Tony, killing him and a Pvt. White , Joe Horan was seriously wounded. (Kevin Wollf)
