The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Gipson Thomas McMillan, 34631930, who died in the service of his country on February 6th, 1945 in Luzon. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Gipson was 21 years of age. He was from Neshoba County, Mississippi.

The decorations earned by PFC Gipson Thomas McMillan include: the Combat Medical Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.

Gipson was an American Indian medic attached from Medical Company. He was killed by tank-fired shrapnel during the battle of Lupao.
