The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SFC Terry Cortland Martin, who died in the service of his country on March 24th, 1953 in North Korea. The cause of death was listed as Grenade Accident. At the time of his death Terry was 29 years of age. He was from Denver, Colorado.

Sergeant First Class Martin was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of Company G, 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. On March 24, 1953, during a training exercise in North Korea, he was preparing to throw a hand grenade when it exploded prematurely. Sergeant First Class Martin was awarded the Combat Infantrymans Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean War Service Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
