The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SP4 Terry Michael Elshire, who died in the service of his country on May 21st, 1967 in Quang Ngai Province, Vietnam. The cause of death was listed as Accidental Self-Destruction (Cleaning.45 Pistol). At the time of his death Terry was 19 years of age. He was from Joliet, Montana. Terry is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Panel 20E, Line 73.

The decorations earned by SP4 Terry Michael Elshire include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation.


Terry is buried in the Joliet Cemetery, Joliet, Montana
