The picture of Gerald was supplied by fellow platoon member Jan York. Of Gerald, Jan stated, "The best friend a guy could have."

A 60-foot illuminated flag pole was dedicated in Jerry's memory at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

Gerald you are often remembered and thought of fondly. Your childhood friend from Wisconsin Dells, WI. Dick Foss now living in La Crosse, WI. When I found your name on the Wall several years ago it was the most moving experience of my life. I went back to Viet Nam in 1993 as part of a medical team. It is a beautiful place! I wish you could have been with me. God Bless You!
