I was with SP/4 Fredfor Edwards during Basic Training at Fort Gordon, Ga. from Oct to Dec 1967. We were in the 2nd platoon, E-2-1 and although I only knew him for those 8 weeks, he was the kind of individual you could'nt forget. He was a simple guy who always gave 100%. We lost a lot of good men over there but when it was someone you knew it's just a little harder to take. thanks for giving me the chance to express myself.
