The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Harlan Ray Slusser, who died in the service of his country on June 14th, 1967 in Quang Ngai Province, Vietnam. The cause of death was listed as Grenade Thrown Into LP. At the time of his death Harlan was 19 years of age. He was from Burkburnett, Texas. Harlan is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Panel 21E, Line 102.

The decorations earned by PFC Harlan Ray Slusser include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation.

Harlan, I remember the good times - playing football together since we started Pee Wee League on up to high school in Burkburnett. Then in my sophmore year I moved to the big city of Fort Worth, finished high school there, and joined the Navy just before you joined the Army. Our small hometown remembers you especially your old team mates. The Moving Wall is coming to my home, Rockport, TX, this October, brother. I will see you then from my side of the Wall.
