The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Jack Donelson Porter, who died in the service of his country on August 16th, 1951 in Korea. The cause of death was listed as Drowned. At the time of his death Jack was 20 years of age. He was from Cedar Bluff, Virginia.

Private Porter was a member of Company B, 1st Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. On August 16, 1951, he drowned with unknown circumstances near Malsan-ni, Korea. Private Porter was awarded the Combat Infantrymans Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
