The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PV2 Stanley Charles Garnett, who died in the service of his country on July 30th, 1952 in North Korea. The cause of death was listed as Bunker Collapse. At the time of his death Stanley was 26 years of age. He was from Edmonds, Washington.

The decorations earned by PV2 Stanley Charles Garnett include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Korea Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.




Burial Location: PACIFIC LUTHERAN CEMETERY, SEATTLE, WA

On July 30, 1952, near Suim-myon, North Korea, his bunker collapsed on him while he was sleeping. This type of casualty normally would not merit a PH. However, his Gravestone Application notes one.
