The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, CPL Charles Avery Rublee, RA18336551, who died in the service of his country on December 28th, 1950 in North Korea. The cause of death was listed as MIA to Declared Dead. At the time of his death Charles was 20 years of age. He was from Forney, Texas. Charles' Military Occupation Specialty was 4745-Light Weapons Infantryman.

Sergeant Rublee was a member of Company B, 1st Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in Korea on September 1, 1950 and returned to duty later that day. He was seriously wounded again on September 23, 1950 and returned on October 8, 1950. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on December 28, 1950. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. For his leadership and valor, Sergeant Rublee was awarded the Silver Star, the Purple Heart with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
