The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, CPL Lawrence J. Robidoux, RA11192485, who died in the service of his country on November 27th, 1950 in North Korea. The cause of death was listed as Captured-Died as POW. At the time of his death Lawrence was 22 years of age. He was from Providence County, Rhode Island. Lawrence's Military Occupation Specialty was 4745-Light Weapons Infantryman.

Sergeant Robidoux was a member of Company B, 1st Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He was born in Canada. On November 27, 1950, he was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy in North Korea. He died while a prisoner on May 31, 1951. Sergeant Robidoux was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Prisoner of War Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

My uncle, Sergeant Robidoux was a member of Company B, 1st Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. On November 27, 1950, he was taken Prisoner of War and was held at prison Camp 5, North Korea. Prison Camp 5 and died while captive in 1951. His remains were identified on 1/24/2023. We are planning a celebration of his life and funeral. Would appreciate any photos memories or similar materials. Thank you.
